5 teams left in the Triangle Hockey League as 2 teams take a leave of absence and 1 joins the THL.

The Triangle Hockey League has announced plans to forge ahead in the 2019-20 season with, possibly, as many as five teams.

At a league meeting on Sunday night, the Theodore Buffalos, Ochapowace Thunder, and Esterhazy Flyers all committed to icing clubs and the Bredenbury Cougars say they will know within a couple of weeks if they will also have numbers strong enough to put a team on the ice.

The league also announced the addition of the Hudson Bay Hunters into the loop for the 2019-20 campaign and it's hoped that by adding a northern club, perhaps it will spur interest from other communities north of Yorkton as far as reviving senior hockey.

Meanwhile, the Langenburg Warriors have given notice they are no longer part of the Triangle Hockey League and the Rocanville Tigers have requested a one year leave of absence with the hopes of icing a team for 2020-21.

It's expected the regular season will begin the weekend of November 9th and it will conclude by the middle of February.

The league scheduling meeting is slated for October 17th.

If you are a Senior aged (20+) hockey player looking for a team to play for this upcoming season; please contact Mike Stackhouse on Facebook and let the league know you are interested as a number of our teams are dealing with retirements and looking to replenish their rosters.
