Four Saskatoon people who violated health orders will not have the option to pay fine of $2800

Following an investigation by the SPS General Investigations Section, eight persons have been identified as key participants of a protest that took place in Saskatoon on December 19, 2020.

After consultation with the provincial crown and public health officials, four individuals who had previously received tickets for failing to comply with the health order, will not have the option to pay the voluntary fine of $2800, and will instead have to appear in Court.

The results of this investigation bring the total number of tickets, written by the SPS, to people failing to comply with The Public Health Act, 1994, to 15.
