Unmasked 32 year old Regina Man Threatens Store Clerk with Knife

On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at approximately 9:40 p.m., police were dispatched to a weapons offence involving a knife at a retail store on the 2100 block of Broad Street. It was reported that a male who was asked to leave the store for not wearing a mask had returned showing a knife, and threatening to harm the store staff.

Police arrived and located the thirty-two year-old male, who actively resisted arrest. The male was taken into custody and charged. The knife was also recovered.

Thirty-two year-old Jeremiah David COPEMAN, of Regina, is charged with:

• 2 X Assault With a Weapon [CC 267(A)];

• Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]; and

• Resist Arrest [CC 129(A)].

COPEMAN makes his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, November 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.
