20-year-old Yorkton man charged with trafficking drugs and sexual interference

A 20 year old man from Yorkton is charged with allegedly trafficking drugs and sexual interference has been released from custody on $1,500 bail and a long list of conditions. Carter Hume is accused of, on August 1, on count each of sexually assaulting and touching for a sexual purpose a person under the age of 16 years. Hume also faces one count each of trafficking in methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana on August 8. Hume appeared briefly in Yorkton court September 12 where by consent the Crown agreed to his release on $1,500 bail. An incomplete list includes:

- living at an approved residence

- observing a curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m

- not consuming alcohol or non-prescription drugs

- submitting to residence checks

- providing breath, urine or blood samples on request

- having no contact or social media interaction with a named person

- not possessing weapons

- having no contact with persons under the age of 16

- not attending areas where children are or are likely to be present

- having no electronic interaction with children. Hume’s next court appearance is scheduled for October 3.
