Humboldt Broncos team bus involved in crash on Highway 335

The Humboldt Broncos Junior A Hockey team's bus has been involved in what Tisdale RCMP describe as a “serious” collision on on Highway 335 north of Tisdale, Saskatchewan at 6:33pm.

Police have so far provided few details, but the general manager and assistant coach of the Nipawin Hawks Doug Johnson confirms the crash involves the Broncos bus.

Tonight's game vs the Nipawin Hawks is cancelled, according to the Nipawin team manager and coach, Doug Johnson

"hockey is the last thing on anyone’s mind at the moment."

STARS tweeted shortly after 5 p.m. an air ambulance had been dispatched to the area near Ridgedale, Saskatchewan.

RCMP say traffic is expected to be blocked or restricted on highway 355 north of Tisdale for several hours.

SNN reports no injuries at this moment but we will be working to keep you updated as the story develops.

Update 06/04/2018 7:41pm : A semi ran the stop sign and collided with the Broncos Bus. Unconfirmed number of people are deceased and multiple serious injuries.
