A destination walk in the RM of Lumsden. Parking 1km west of Lumsden on Grid 641. Red-roofed trail kiosk features a topo map of the entire trail from Lumsden to Deer Valley. The walk from this trailhead is approximately 20 minutes to the pedestrian bridge. Please follow the guidelines listed on the kiosk. This section goes through NCC (Nature Conservancy of Canada) protected land, adjacent to livestock, rich aquatic environments and private property, so as stated in our agreement, no dogs are allowed on this section of the trail. Just footprints on this beautiful natural trail. At the bridge site, there is a rock with a recognition plaque that acknowledges everyone who made this project happen. Remember, leave no trace. Enjoy your trail experience!

On February 6, 2022, Her Majesty the Queen celebrated a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service. This video celebrates the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with pictures from her visit to the Town of Lumsden in 2005.
