Members of the Prince Albert Police Service are investigating a shooting that occurred on New Year’s Eve. At around 10:25 p.m. on December 31, 2025, police were called to the 200 block of 20th Street East for a weapons complaint. Call information revealed there was a firearm discharged at a residence. The Prince Albert Police Service is proud to welcome five new recruits to the PA Police! Caleb Parenteau, Tyler Rock, Storm Zablocki, Romy Dueck, and Matthew Dochylo were sworn in this afternoon at Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Prince Albert. They will begin their training with Class #92 at the Saskatchewan Police College in Regina on January 5th, 2026.

On December 25th, 2025 at 7:55 p.m, PAFD responded to 900 Central Avenue for a structure fire. On arrival, fire crews initiated an interior attack on the fire, however, due to heavy smoke and fire conditions throughout the building, as well as early fire breach of the roof above the fire fighters, a defensive approach was initiated.
