The city will start aerating the reservoir to maintain a healthy fish population, which means air will be pumped under the ice, potentially weakening it.

If you have a fishing shack at the Melville Dam, you will have to move it off the ice by January 2nd says the City of Melville.

The city will cordon off the area, and will have signs posted, meaning all shacks or huts must be moved west of this area.
