The Saskatchewan Rattlers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Friday that they have re-signed Canadian guard Devontè Bandoo for the 2022 CEBL season. Bandoo played with NCAA Division 1 Baylor University, where he won Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year in 2020. He signed with the Saskatchewan Rattlers in 2021, he played all 14 games while leading the team with 17.4 points per game which was top five in all of the CEBL. During the offseason, Bandoo played 17 games in the NBA G League for the Lakeland Magic and Grand Rapids Gold.

“We felt getting Devontè to return this season was critical piece in our plans to compete for a championship, so having him re-sign is obviously something we are very excited about.”, said Rattlers General Manager Barry Rawlyk. “He feels we have made a number of moves with the roster and coaching staff that will lend itself to the team achieving great success, and allow him to maximize his talents. Devontè proved himself to be one of the best scorers in the league last season, and he is excited about the opportunity to continue to develop his game under Dean’s tutelage.” “Excited to be back”, said Bandoo. “I can’t wait to play and learn from the new coaching staff and new teammates. I look forward for a CEBL Championship with the Rattlers.”
