On Saturday, April 17, 2021, police were dispatched to a business in the 1700 Block of McIntyre St. in regards to a robbery in progress.

Upon arrival, police spoke to staff who advised two females and one male entered the store and attempted to steal various items.

Staff members confronted the suspects at the door and were able to recover some items but a physical altercation occurred and spilled outside to the front of the business. One staff member was trying to retrieve some stolen items and while struggling with the suspect, the suspect pulled a knife out and cut the staff members left hand between his thumb and index finger. The suspects fled on foot with some stolen product from the store. One of the suspects left his backpack on scene and a machete was located inside.

The staff members returned to the business and called police. EMS attended and treated the injured staff member on-scene.

The suspects were located by police and arrested in the 1800 block Victoria Ave and transported to the Regina Police Service Detention area.
