Patuanak RCMP charged two adult males with bootlegging liquor offences on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, after seizing a large quantity of beverage alcohol destined for the community.
Police had responded to information received concerning a well-known bootlegging operation in the Patuanak area and were able to locate the individuals who were transporting a quantity of liquor with a street value of approximately $1,200.
Both individuals will appear in English River Provincial Court on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
English River First Nation is a dry community.
