On December 20, 2020 at around 4:30 pm Craik Rural RCMP received two complaints of people trying to pass counterfeit Canadian $100 bills. Both incidents occurred at businesses in Chamberlain, SK.

The male suspect purchased or attempted to purchase cigarettes from the businesses by paying with the Counterfeit $100 and also providing extra coins so the return change would be in large bills.

The female who was with the male suspect never asked for anything nor handled the counterfeit money. Both were wearing masks and were observed driving away in an older but good condition red sports car.

Police continue to investigate these occurrences and are seeking public assistance.
