Esterhazy Flyers sweep Rocanville Tigers to advance to SEHL Semi Finals

The Esterhazy Flyers took two straight games in the best of three series against the Rocanville Tigers to advance to the Sask East Hockey League Semi Finals.
Game 1 was played on Wednesday February 4th, 2026 .at the Dana Antal Arena in Esterhazy. Jordan Robinson opened the scoring for the Rocanville tigers in Game 1 at 18:16, followed by a second Tigers goal by Dakota Odgers at 17:02 in the first period to start the game strong. That would not last long though as it was all Esterhazy Flyers after that point. The Flyers responded at the 7 min mark with a goal by Spencer Trapp, followed by 4 more unanswered goals by the Flyers by : Two scored by Carson Miller and the other single by Colton Schick and Kaydon Tocher. Final score of Game 1 was 5-2 for the Esterhazy Flyers.
Game 2 was played on Monday February 9th, 2026 in Rocanville at the Rocanville Skating Rink. The Tigers again opened the scoring early on, just 46 seconds into the first period with a goal by Trey Hamilton.
However, the Flyers would score 4 unanswered goals and would lead 4-1 by the 6 min mark of the first frame. Flyers goals were scored by : Parker Johnson, Taylor Sanheim, Chase Shaber and Carson Miller. The Tigers would pounce back with a late goal in the first to make things 4-2 with Dylan Haney lighting the lamp.
In the second period the Esterhazy Flyers would score 4 goals with Schaber notching his second goal of the night meanwhile, Dylan Haney would score for the Tigers midway through the second. Koal Roberts, Shane Collins and Colton Schick cashed in singles for the Flyers to make it 8-3 going into the third period.
Esterhazy would put two more away in the 3rd to make the final score 10-3. Carson Miller would snipe his 2nd goal of the game at 14:33 on the Powerplay and Parker Johnson would also grab his 2nd goal of the contest with only 1:50 left in the game.
The Esterhazy Flyers will advance to the East Sask Hockey League South Division Final (SEHL Semi Finals) and will have who they play determined by the following :
Scenario 1 : If Canora Cobras beat the Cote Selects in game 3 on Wednesday February 18th in Canora at the Civic Centre, Canora will play the Esterhazy Flyers and the Langenburg Warriors will play the Theodore Buffalos.
Scenario 2 : If the Cote Selects win game 3 against the Canora Cobras on Wednesday February 18th in Canora at the Civic Centre, Cote will play the Langenburg Warriors and the Theodore Buffalos will play the Esterhazy Flyers.
