On December 25th, 2025 at 7:55 p.m, PAFD responded to 900 Central Avenue for a structure fire. On arrival, fire crews initiated an interior attack on the fire, however, due to heavy smoke and fire conditions throughout the building, as well as early fire breach of the roof above the fire fighters, a defensive approach was initiated.

Fire crews were successful in limiting the spread of the fire and damage to the adjoining structures.
The building sustained heavy damage and is expected to be considered a total loss. Roof collapse to most of the structure was experienced. Exterior walls are a collapse concern so it is extremely important for any persons attending the scene to keep a safe distance. Police have had a presence on scene throughout the evening and will continue to maintain safety and security throughout the day.
PAFD thanks their emergency partners, PAPS and Parkland Ambulance for their valued assistance during this incident.
Fire crews will continue to monitor for hotspots and flare ups throughout the day. The public is remined to avoid the area as crews are still working. This incident is currently under investigation.
