The senior men's season opener in Saskatoon unfolded with a level of excitement that, while not overly dramatic, showcased a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, particularly from the Brewers. The game, which began with a competitive spirit, quickly transformed into a decisive victory for the Brewers, thanks in large part to an explosive performance during the second period, where they netted an astonishing ten goals, effectively changing the course of the match.

Initially, the SWAT team demonstrated strong offensive capabilities, taking a 2-1 lead late in the first period. The second period commenced with both teams maintaining their aggressive strategies, as they traded goals early on, with each team finding the back of the net twice within the first five minutes. However, the Brewers soon shifted into high gear, launching a relentless offensive barrage that would leave the SWAT struggling to keep pace. From 5:45 onwards, the Brewers scored an astonishing eight consecutive goals, a feat that would demoralize their opponents. This scoring spree included an impressive four goals within a mere 2:32 at the midway point of the period, showcasing their offensive prowess and ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities. By the time the third period rolled around, the outcome of the match was all but decided, with the Brewers firmly in control. They continued to apply pressure and added two more goals to their tally, effectively sealing their victory and demonstrating their strength as a team. The final score reflected the Brewers' overwhelming performance, highlighting their skill and coordination throughout the game.

In an impressive offensive showcase, five players from the Brewers achieved the remarkable feat of scoring hat tricks. Bryton Thorarinsson and Adam Saunders each netted three goals and contributed a staggering seven points, underscoring their critical roles in the team's success. Mitch Linklater followed closely behind with three goals and six points, while Ethan Kennedy also added three goals, finishing with four points to his name. Keegan White rounded out the hat trick scorers with three goals as well. In addition to these standout performances, Jordan Tabin and Baeley Malkoske contributed to the Brewers’ goal count with additional goals of their own. On the playmaking side, Sam Murphy, Mason Viczko, and Braelen Frenette each recorded two assists, showcasing their ability to facilitate scoring opportunities for their teammates.

For the SWAT, Wyatt Cameron managed to score a goal and provide three points, demonstrating his offensive capabilities despite the team’s struggles. Ben Lukash also made a contribution with a goal and two points, while teammates Kenny Elliot and Josh Murray each found the net, highlighting their efforts in what was a challenging game against a formidable opponent.
