Tofield Satellites voted In, Round Lake Bears Voted Out.

The NCHL held a Special Zoom meeting on June 10th to hear an application from a new team based in Tofield.  Chris Roy informed the League Executive and Board of Directors that they would like to rejoin the League after a 10 year hiatus. Tofield Satellites were one of the four Battle River teams to join the NCHL back in 2015, but the team disbanded after their first year in the league.  After Roy made his presentation, he left the group and after some discussion, their application was approved. The Satellites will play their games in the Tofield Arena.

The other item on the meeting agenda was to discuss the status of the recently accepted Round Lake Bears, who were accepted into the League at the AGM in May.  After discussion, the Board of Directors motioned that Round Lake be removed from the League as they had not followed their probational acceptance conditions.

These changes, along with the recent news that Bonnyville was moving to the Sask-Alta League brings the NCHL membership back to 9 teams for the upcoming season. The balanced schedule drops from 18 to 16 games.
