Round Lake Bears win 2024 Dakota Nation Winter Fest Senior men’s hockey championship

The Round Lake Bears upended Layne’s Starz 6-2 last Sunday to capture the Senior hockey championship at the 26th annual Dakota Nation Winterfest in Brandon.

It was the 4th game of the day for Round Lake who defeated the Shoal Lake Flyers, Minegoziibe Warriors and the Norway House Bruins on their way to Sunday’s final tilt.

With the win, the Bears took home the trophy, championship banner and $20,000 cash. Winston Daychief (2), Colten Yellowhorn, Shaq Houle, Tyler Fidler, and Kurtis Luke scored for Round Lake.
